ESVBOA BYLAWS
We encourage all members to take the opportunity to review our organization's bylaws.
These governing documents outline the principles and procedures that guide our operations and ensure transparency, fairness, and consistency in all that we do.
By familiarizing yourself with the bylaws, you can better understand the framework of our decision-making processes and your rights and responsibilities as a member.
Should you have any questions or suggestions regarding the bylaws, please feel free to reach out to any board member or share your input during an upcoming meeting.

How to register for Officiating
The information and links below will lead you through the process of registering, finding the right equipment and training opportunities to get you ready for the season!

First steps:

If you have NEVER registered with the MHSAA, send a message to ESVBOA@gmail.com to receive a voucher for FREE MHSAA membership. This voucher CANNOT be used after you have registered!

Register with the MHSAA (click here) - Registration opens after June 1st.

The Officials Guidebook provides a lot of information regarding officiating for the MHSAA.
3. Join a local volleyball association
East Side Volleyball Officials Association provides training and mentoring for officials in the Metro Detroit area. Registration begins in June, with a training clinic in mid-August.
Visit the ESVBOA website or contact esvboa@gmail.com to get registration and clinic information.
4. Obtain the proper uniform and equipment.
5. Contact local Assigners. (Assigners work to fill the officiating needs of schools they represent. They provide officials with matches to work.)
